Last week the website dvice chided the FCC for allowing cell carriers to limit their networks to only work with phones that they provide. Its true America's largest carriers make it difficult to switch. They bully customers into staying put with lengthy contracts, high termination fees, and devices configured to work only on their network. The tide is turning though, new options are opening up for customers every day.

For example, it is now possible to swap out of your cell phone contract. The number of regional carriers is increasing, and many of them offer favorable rates and do not require a contract. And finally, its possible to legally reprovision your phone and take it with you to another carrier.

We're just getting started here at Keep My Phone. You can reprovision or recycle your phone today in many markets with more signing on each month. We're working to open markets in Phoenix, Los Angeles, and eventually nationwide. If you love your phone and hate your plan, we can help.
